So it can all begin to become very expensive to run that latest version of software you want. However to do this your current computer is seriously lacking in memory/CPU/ hard drive space and besides this latest software incarnation requires a newer version of Windows to run just to start with. If you use specialist software for example you do a lot of audio or video editing, naturally advances in this area of technology and in truth most areas of technology become enhanced and you may feel you have exhausted your current software’s capability and feel it necessary to use the latest software’s to achieve your goals.
What do I use the PC for and if what I am using it for meets my expectations do I really need to change it or upgrade it at all?Ģ. The flip side to this is to ask yourself some questions and be honest with yourself.ġ. Generally speaking if your PC is more than about six years old and it no longer supports the software you want to use or doesn’t meet your expectations then it could be a time for a change. Believe me I know from personal experience of consistently upgrading and changing the computers I’ve used over the years. Some of the aforementioned elements can be justified but in the whole it is merely habitual. It staggers me at the number of consumers who must have the latest, greatest fastest PC available just because they think it will be more efficient and carry out everything we throw at it or even worse because their 1 or 2-year-old PC is not as fast as it was when they first purchased it. Owning a PC, be it a desktop or laptop is pretty much run of the mill these days but how well do you look after it? I don’t mean in the sense of it being a pet or anything quite so daft but are you satisfied with how it performs or is it beginning to get a little more than frustrating to use?
